We have returned from the Guitar Center, and all I can say is WOW!  Christian keeps saying "AWESOME"!

We took our time, and they let Christian try out a few guitars.  For some reason I thought that a specific guitar and amp had been already selected, hence the phone call.

Anyway Todd came out and introduced himself, and he and Mike, the salesperson, really set out to take care of Christian.  I know he went over the budget, but they insisted he didn't.

We got: A guitar, of course, black and white,  amp  cable, tuner, strap, gig bag, stand (and one for his sister, too, we offered to pay for the stands, and they said no way), instruction book with CD.

Thanks so much.  It was like Christmas!  He is up in his room "jamming" right now.

Christian is 13 years old and in the 8th grade.  He was diagnosed with Leukemia in June 2007 at the age of 11.  He is currently in the maintenance phase of chemotherapy until fall 2010.  He has always wanted an electric guitar and is so happy to finally own such an awesome instrument. He is having a blast experimenting with all of the sounds he can make.
